| Zoë Iltsopoulos Borys Joins Fletcher to Oversee Film & Digital Camera Rental Division |
(Chicago, April 30, 2007) Fletcher, one of the leading film and digital camera facilities in the US, has named Zoë Iltsopoulos Borys as General Manager of their growing camera rental division. Iltsopoulos Borys, best known from her long tenure at Panavision, takes the reins at Fletcher today. She will be working closely with Stan Glapa, Rental Manager, in overseeing a staff of ten and aggressively targeting the feature and commercial production markets in the Midwest.
This new GM announcement comes on the heels of investing over $2.5 Million in new equipment including ARRI’s latest Super 16mm camera (416), Zeiss Master Primes Lenses and diopters and a full 18 lenses set of Cooke’s “intelligent primes” S4/i. Fletcher has also recently been named the Midwest agent for ARRI D-20, ARRI’s first digital camera.

“Fletcher is poised to be the Midwest leader in servicing the production needs of commercial and motion picture clients regardless of the origination medium,” says Iltsopoulos Borys. “Fletcher has already excelled in the broadcast sector and we’re looking for the same growth in film. This is evident with the investment in gear and the development of production offices for staff and crew while they're in town. My primary goal as GM is to lead our team in nurturing and developing relationships with customers – ensuring clients that we are their solution provider and will take care of them with just one call. I will also be focusing on strategic alliances with manufacturers and industry peers to further guarantee the superb quality and availability of Fletcher’s gear and services.”
Iltsopoulos Borys, a ten-year veteran of Panavision, developed her depth of production experience in Panavision’s Florida, Toronto and Chicago locations as a key production and marketing contact. Prior to that she worked at Chapman and in Kodak’s motion picture division. “The job of a good vendor is service, reliability and problem solving,” continues Iltsopoulos Borys. “You have to focus on the needs of the cinematographers in achieving their creative vision while also making sure the producer can stay in budget. The key to balancing this fine line is great gear and most importantly – trust. Fletcher has a strong reputation in both areas and I plan to continue to position them as a major player in the industry.”
According to Archie Fletcher, Owner/President, hiring Iltsopoulos Borys complements the current expansion Fletcher is making in high-end camera rentals. In the past year Fletcher has seen a rise in Midwest production through national companies. This has brought a new vein of national clientele to their door – production companies like MJZ and Story and DP’s such as Dion Beebe ACS ASC and John Swartzman ASC. “With technology evolving so fast, knowledge of how the equipment works and our customer’s needs during production are crucial elements of our business,” says Fletcher. “Zoë ’s years of direct experience with AC’s and DP’s will benefit our clientele.
