Originally from Mesa, Arizona, Megan Donnelly graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts with a concentration on Cinematography. Following her early interest in camera work and lighting, Donnelly worked as the cinematographer on over 12 student films, including documentaries, shorts, installations, and personal/experimental pieces. A few of them circled in the Arizona film festival market in both Phoenix and Tucson. She mentored incoming film students in lighting and film techniques as well as scriptwriting methods, and even participated in new faculty interviews. While attending school, Donnelly also taught video production and editing to under-privileged children. Transporting to Chicago, Donnelly freelanced on multiple commercials learning the Chicago market. She quickly landed a full-time job at Ebel Productions as the Assistant Business Manager and Technical Assistant. Involved with everything from casting sessions, to web design, to editing, to behind the scenes camera work, Donnelly did a little bit of everything. Focusing on her passion, Donnelly recently joined the Fletcher team. She has experience with 16 mm Aaton and Arri cameras, as well as HD mediums. She continues to work on independent projects during her free time, and is simultaneously developing her still photography techniques. With the ultimate aspiration of cinematography, Donnelly continues to experiment with both Film and Digital formats to further develop her cinematic eye. Megan is very excited to have joined Fletcher.
