Introductions Meet instructor and others students.Divide into 3 Groups of Five
9:00 to 10:30
Basic Menus Learning the Menu Settings of the Red One and Red M-X camera and gain understanding
of how to set up preferences. Students follow instructors in groups of five per camera changing their own camera. Students will also create their own Personal Preferences.
Covers Color Balance, Frames Rates, Resolution 2k, 3k, 4k, ISO, etc.

Advanced Menu & Concepts
Student will gain an understanding Red's usage of Metadata as well as
comprehension of recording RAW while viewing images with a Look Up Table
(LUT) applied to the image.

Data Management Learning the basics of transferring the footage from the Red Hard Drive,
Ram Drive and Flash Cards to a drive and LTO tape which can be taken to the
post facility.Using both a basic laptop
as well as a full Data Management System (DMS)

Booby-Trapped Individual Hands-On Camera Set
Up Each student re-sets the RED camera settings to their Personal Preferences for shooting after cameras have been Booby-trapped by instructors.

Students Shoot Footage.
Goal is to gain a thorough understanding of proper exposure. Student will
also learn to handle on-set issues with Red in a production environment.

Color Correction - Handling
Red Through Post Production
Students see
the day's work through post as a local post facility's Colorist
manipulates footage in a grading room.Students will learn the latitude of the Red
Camera with different exposures and see their LUTs applied. (Dinner Provided)
