No matter the budget, today we can say there is a digital format that is right for your project. This panel, featuring Cinematographer Alan Thatcher, Digital Imaging Tech Dan Scalzo, and Post Production Specialist Gary Adcock, will be moderated by Tom Fletcher, one of the pioneers of High Definition and Digital Production in the Midwest. Examining formats from HDV, XDCAM HD, HDCAM, and HDCAM SR, and their impact on workflow from pre-production through the initial stages of post production we hope to educate the audience as they figure out what format is best for their particular project and in what ways can they manipulate the workflow process to make the most of out of their budget. As we move forward from tape to tapeless and up and down the hierarchy of digital formats, how do we best navigate the workflow to accentuate the positives of these new formats while not falling prey to some of the misconceptions of today's world?
