The AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, will commemorate its fifteenth year, with a screening at Chicago History Museum in Chicago, IL.
The Show, a one-hour compendium of outstanding commercials selected for excellence and achievement in various craft categories, is an unequaled celebration of the creative value of commercial filmmaking, and a dynamic presentation of art in the service of commerce.
The connection between art and advertising is not new. Since its inception, the Show has been produced in partnership with MoMA, and as before, the work that will be honored by inclusion in the Show is given further tribute by becoming part of the permanent film collection of MoMA's Department of Film and Media. This mark of distinction is eagerly sought and highly coveted by the advertising and filmmaking creative communities.
